2019 Top 10 Nigerian Influencers





Influencers, as most of you know, are people who have made a name for themselves in certain niches or walks of life and therefore wield the power to affect the decisions of their followers whom they constantly engage with. In the Nigerian sphere, we have some influencers of our own.
In choosing these top 10, we looked at different social media networks and picked the top on those platforms. The list also cuts across different professions.

Ebuka

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is a popular Nigerian lawyer and media personality who is popularly known as the host of the Big Bother Naija reality show and one of the most popular talk shows in the country, Rubbin’ Minds.

He was born in Benin City, Edo state on July 14, 1982. He is an indigene of Okija, Anambra state. He rose to fame after participating in the 2006 Big Brother Naija show. Even though he did not win, he turned out to be a likeable person among everyone which eventually got him major endorsement deals with Glo and Guinness Nigeria in which he hosted TV shows they sponsored. Ebuka studied Law at the University of Abuja. He went to the American University, Washington DC for a masters degree in Intellectual Property and communications law.
Ebuka has captured Nigeria by storm with his style which has enhanced his status as an influencer as most men are eagerly waiting to see the next outfit Ebuka would wear. He is indeed an important media and style influencer.

Tosin Ajibade aka Olori Supergal born on (17 February 1987) is a Nigerian media influencer known for her lifestyle and entertainment website, OloriSuperGal.com in Nigeria and South Africa as well as her social media presence. 



She is also the convener of the New Media Conference that is held annually in Nigeria. Tosin bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Lagos State University after which she obtained a Certificate in Media Enterprise from the School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria.
Ajibade became a publicist in 2009 and She created her blog in 2010. In 2011, she was hired at BlackHouse Media as their web manager but resigned in 2012 to focus on her website.


Sisi Yemmie is one of the biggest lifestyle bloggers in Nigeria. She has about 175,000 subscribers on YouTube and about 100, 000 Instagram followers. After getting the idea of blogging from her husband, she began blogging on her website, sisiyemmie.com and then went on to using YouTube and amassing a lot of followers.

Yemi creates content from real-life scenarios, relationships, food, beauty tips and her own life. The coolest part is that she adds a touch of comedy which attracts even more followers and makes her a top choice for brands. Sisi Yemmie has also gone on to win various awards including Influencer of the Year. Without a doubt, she is one of the biggest influencers in the country.


Dimma Umeh also known as That Igbo Chick is a popular YouTuber and a lifestyle influencer. Having made a career for herself on YouTube as well as creating her own website, she has gained a lot of followers who daily engage with her content and follow her religiously.

Through her YouTube page, she is able to share her life with her followers as well as beauty, travel and makeup tips. Dimma Umeh has about 270000 YouTube subscribers as well as 104,000 Instagram followers. She has indeed made a name for herself as an influencer.

Noble Igwe needs no introduction. Owning 360Nobs he has been able to create a niche for himself in the area of fashion and style. Adorning pieces that are not just from the best of designers but are also of top-notch quality, he combines them with class and finesse while teaching especially men how to dress properly.

Having worked on style campaigns with and enjoyed endorsements from brands like Jumia and Payporte, he is without doubt one personality that most designers want to have to wear their brand because of his influence. With over a 190,000 followers on his Instagram, Noble Igwe isn’t moving anytime soon from his position as the country’s top fashion influencer.


Tunde Ednut is practically the biggest Nigerian influencer on Instagram. His content revolves around popular entertainment news, breaking news, new music, up and coming acts, trivia, giveaways and general engagement. Within a few seconds of a new post, hundreds of comments are already piling under.

Born in Katsina on January 20 decades ago, he is the second child in a family of 5 hailing from Kogi state. Starting out his entertain career as a comedian and a musician, he decided to abandon music and comedy to become an Instagram influencer. With over 1.5 followers, he rules the Nigerian Instagram cyberspace.

Joro Olumofin is a psychologist and blogger is known on Instagram for relationship affairs and content. His great style of dressing, charming nature and screenshots of anonymous emails from people seeking advice has drawn men and women alike to his page.

He doesn’t give advice in his posts but the crazy emails from his fans on their relationships brings a lot of engagement and comments to his page. With over 557,000 followers and averagely 300 comments within minutes, he definitely has the Nigerian cyberspace glued to his page.

Tobi Bakre is an Investment banker, photographer, published photographer, model and influencer.

Born in 1994 and hailing from Ogun state, he graduated with a banking and finance degree from the University of Lagos and worked with Heritage Bank Nigeria PLC. Japheth Omojuwa is a public speaker, farmer, philanthropist, media personality, blogger and social media influencer. He is the founder of Alpha Reach and an author on numerous notable newspapers and online media such as BBC, ThisDay, Vanguard, Sahara Reporters, The Financial Times and Naij.
In the run-up to the general elections, he was influential in the media space. Omojuwa was a strong voice on social media. He has over 200k followers on Twitter, giving him the audience to impact the affairs of the nation with his progressive views.
He was listed among the most influential Nigerian youth in tech by YNaija and by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper which is a rare recognition given out to youth people impacting significantly to their communities globally. In 2016, popular cognac company Remy Martin named Japheth as a brand influencer in recognition of his exemplary work as a youth leader. He also won Best Twitter Personality (African Bloggers Award) from the Bill and Melinda Foundation. He is definitely a political influencer to watch.
